Itching for some magic? Here’s an easy step-by-step guide on how to draw a unicorn in just under 30 minutes!

Unicorns are such pretty and wonderful mythical creatures, and they are fun to make. Though they may look complicated to draw, there are easy steps you can follow to create a piece of your own. 

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You can erase and redraw the lines as you go through the process of making it. Just remember that drawing takes a lot of practice and patience, and the more you do it, the better you become at it.

Get your materials ready because here we go!

Materials You Need

  • A Piece of Paper (blank or dotted, the choice is yours)
  • A Pencil
  • A Pen or Marker
  • Colored Pencils or Pens (optional)

How to Draw A Unicorn

Step 1: Get your pencil and start with the unicorn’s face by drawing a slightly curved line for its head.

Step 2: Draw the snout and jawline.

Step 3: Draw the neck of the unicorn.

Step 4: Draw the unicorn’s back and back leg. This should be thick and round.

Step 5: Draw the unicorn’s leg. It should be skinnier as it goes down.

Step 6: Add the unicorn’s belly and hooves.

Step 7: Continue drawing the remaining legs of the unicorn.

Step 8: Now that the unicorn’s form is made, it’s time to add the details. Draw the unicorn’s eyes, nostrils, and ears.

Step 9: Draw the unicorn’s horn on its head.

Step 10: Draw out the unicorn’s mane along its neck.

Step 11: Draw the unicorn’s tail. You can make it as fluffy as you like!

Step 12: Now that you have drawn your unicorn, it’s time to ink it and make some adjustments.

Step 13: Add more details as you go through.

Step 14: You can choose to color in your unicorn with whatever color materials you have.

And you are done! Wasn’t that easy?
